Meeting with DMPED to discuss the Chevy Chase Civic Core. After an initial introduction of new developments since DMPED came to our community February 28, Commissioners in Single Member Districts 02-07 will have 8 minutes each to ask questions, present, and/or call on constituents. The second hour will be open to both Commissioners and the public. Other than adopting the meeting procedures and motion to adjourn, there will be no issue-specific votes. Agenda here.

This meeting’s germane topics will include:
- ANC Survey results vs. direction of project
- Surplus and disposition hearings
- Developing privately vs. Land Trust - building equity
- Overall site plan - occupied ground space and height - as measured from current sidewalk, in feet and/or in stories
- Compatibility with Neighborhood Center place type of up to 4 stories in dc2050 Future Land Use Map
- Location of apartments on site vis-a-vis location of DPR and DCPL facilities
- Impact of housing atop public facilities (colocation concerns), eg. leaks at West End
- Location of retail space, plans for subsidizing (or not), offering to local businesses, etc.
- Access to roof space
- Shadow studies
- Number of each size (Studio- 3BR) and size of housing units
- Affordable vs market rate housing percentages
- Previous commitment from Mayor Bowser (in person, at our ANC) to have workforce housing, generally 51-80% AMI $86,343-135,440
- Change in bid presented to community as 1 of 8 vs. what was presented in February 2026
- Affordability covenants (commitment to retaining affordable designation)
- Possibility of converting market rate to voucher housing
- Plans to provide social services to residents
- Trash removal; site for deliveries
- Traffic flow
- MetroAccess pickup/ other pickup and dropoff
- Parking impact
- Construction- issues
- Phasing of construction and impact on local business/traffic
