I have been proud to call Washington, DC my home since 1999.  My husband and I looked for walkable, green neighborhoods with access to parks and neighborhood sports and found all that, and more, in Chevy Chase.  As a longtime resident, I’ve had the privilege of watching our Chevy Chase community grow, and I am deeply committed to making it an even better place for everyone.

My story

My life has been in public service.  For over two decades, I have taught in Montgomery County Public Schools, first as a middle school Social Studies teacher, and more recently as an English Language Development (ELD) teacher. Prior to teaching, I worked for Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Sam Nunn (D-GA). 

At home, I live with my husband, a former Naval officer currently working for the Army.  We raised twins here, both DCPS graduates (Lafayette Elementary, Deal Middle School, Jackson-Reed and School Without Walls). In my spare time, I love hiking, gardening, reading, and enjoying my husband's cooking.
